What is a Simulated Patient?
A simulated patient (SP) is an individual that has been trained to play a real to life patient in order to help with medical Simulation. Simulated patients are utilised in Medical Education to improve the fidelity of practice that takes place. This experience allows for increased realism for medical professionals in training to practice on and improve their clinical/communication skills in a safe environment.
